The HBC Pattern was a trade axe sold extensively in North America in the 18th and 19th centuries.  It was a favorite of Explorers, Trappers, and Hunters.  This sturdy 2lb hatchet will serve you well on your travels.  Made of mild steel with a high carbon bit forge welded in.  Red Oak handle, the hatchet also comes with a handsome leather sheath.
